VP, Investor Relations Advisor


As a VP, Investor Relations Advisor at Storyboard you will have the flexibility and control over establishing and maintaining your client relationships, enabling you to focus on what you do best - providing exceptional investor relations services.

Principle responsibilities:


  • Gain a deep understanding of your client’s business by understanding their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats

  • Develop and maintain a company investor relations plan

  • Provide regular weekly reporting for your client with updates on their peers, news summaries, and other strategic recommendations

  • Perform a comprehensive competitive analysis, including financial metrics and differentiation

  • Develop and monitor performance metrics for the investor relations function

  • Establish the optimum type and mix of shareholders, and create that mix through a variety of targeting initiatives

  • Monitor operational changes through ongoing contact with company management, and develop investor relations messages based on these changes

  • Create presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and presentations to analysts, brokers, and investors

  • Manage and advise on the investor relations portion of the company’s website

  • Monitor analyst reports and summarize them for senior management

  • Serves as the key point of contact for the investment community

  • Establish and maintain relationships with stock exchange representatives

  • Organize conferences, road shows, earnings conference calls, and investor meetings

  • Provide feedback to management regarding the investment community's perception of how the company is being managed, and their view of its financial results

  • Represent the views of the investor community to the management team in the development of corporate strategy

  • Provide feedback to the management team regarding the impact of stock repurchase programs or dividend changes on the investment community

Recommended Qualifications:


  • 8+ years of accounting/finance experience, or 4+ years experience in managing an investor relations department

  • Post-secondary education, as well as excellent written and verbal skills, relationship-building skills in the investment community, and the ability to collaborate with the executive team

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or commitment to progress preferred

  • Although not always required, must be willing to travel regularly if needed

  • Motivation, drive, and a self-starter attitude

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize, and manage time effectively

  • Comfortable managing client relationships and building your external network
